here is exactly what i have been complaining about on air for some time now…..i get to work…and just like you i check the headlines to see what is going on in the world….so here is a screenshot from cnn.com…..and as you can see, amidst all of the major headlines….amy “crazy lady” winehouse actually has TWO of the top headlines….i have never in my life seen a one hit wonder get so much press….let’s face it….she has ONE radio hit…and although it was ok, it was not some great smash…hell, the macarena got more radio time than rehab….when was the last time you saw an artist with so little contribution to the music world get so much damn publicity….where are all the headlines about other one hit wonders who had a mediocre hit….like thomas dolby, kajagoogoo, chris daughtry…oh wait…he has more than one…they all just sound the same…anyway
amy winehouse has the best PR department i have ever seen….
if i see one more headline about this woman, the next headline will read:
Smalltown DJ strangles Winehouse with bare hands
or, perhaps:
Smart DJ throws crackpipe in ocean…Winehouse drowns.
This chick is everywhere, that’s for sure. I absolutely do not understand why she is everywhere. Her song is really not that good…the only thing she talks about in the song is not wanting to go to rehab, which she really needs. I guess when it comes to the news or being “famous” all you need to do is become a drug addict and you are in.
You know why there is so much publicity on this dummy don’t you? She didn’t want to go to rehab but yet that is where she is.
