Will you ever stream the station over the web?
What’s up with “sticky” posts?
- Sticky posts are those messages which contain some info that may have relevence over time, and are listed in such a way to make them stick to the top of the list so that they might be seen more readily. They will usually be system- or annoucement- type messages.
Why don’t I have to register to post comments?
- We feel like it’s one less obstacle to encourage participation. We could set up registration, whether optional or compulsory, and while there are some advantages for both the visitor and for site administration, we’re trying it this way for now.
Can I register anyway?
- No. We have suspended the registration feature in the software.
What is this ‘RSS’ business in the sidebar?
- RSS is a format protocol for syndicating feeds, like news or blogs, over the web. Basically it allows you to view content without actually visiting a particular page. The information can be fed to other webpages, aggregators, and certain web browsers, among other things. An example would be MyYahoo, a customizable homepage option, that uses syndication to present its varied content. You could add our blog to your MyYahoo page by using the link on the right. Another example would be the popular upstart browser Firefox. You can use its ‘live bookmarks’ feature to get updated content to your bookmarks sidebar in the browser. These are just a few examples, and to be honest, we are learning ourselves. What if I have a question not listed here?
- Please send us your question, and help us build a good FAQ.
Why don’t you just activate comments on this page for questions?
- Well, I can’t seem to figure that out. Does anyone out there know WordPress? (There’s a fresh G-shirt in it for you.)
